October 1 Flu Vaccine Clinic will be at Virginia High School and Virginia Middle School October 2 Flu Vaccine Clinic will be at Virginia Primary School and Virginia Intermediate School If you would like for your child to receive their flu vaccine at school, a consent form must be filled out, signed by a parent or guardian, and returned to school.

Seniors who donate 3 times (or have someone donate for them) will earn a red cord to wear at graduation. Seniors who get 5 donations, will earn a red and white cord. Seniors who donate platelets 3 times (they must donate themselves) will earn a medallion to wear at graduation. Please email Ms. Rasmussen for more information or questions. Jrasmussen@bvps.org

The Bearcat Athletic Department will host a required Student-Athlete Parent Meeting-on Thursday, August 15th at 6:30pm in the VHS Auditorium. This meeting will have valuable information for all athletes and their parents regardless of their participation season. Fall sports will break out for their respective team meetings after the department meeting. On Friday, August 16, 2024 you are cordially invited to our Fall Meet The Bearcats and V-T Football Scrimmage. Gates Open 5pm with team intros at beginning at 5:45pm at Gene Malcolm Stadium. The scrimmage is slated to start at 7:30pm. Donations will be accepted at the gates to benefit both teams. Concessions and Bearcat Merchandise will be sold and other activities will be available. Come out to support all of our fall-student athletes.

Bearcat Cross Country practice starts tomorrow August 5th at 9am at the Virginia High School track. Here is the practice schedule for the rest of the week. All practices this week will be at Virginia High School. Monday, August 5th - 9am to 10am Tuesday, August 6th - 12pm to 1pm Wednesday, August 7th - 2:45pm to 4pm Thursday, August 8th and Friday, August 9th - 3pm to 4:30pm You must have a completed VHSL physical on file to participate. Please show up if you are interested in participating in either of these fall sports. Please call 276-821-5880 with any questions.

Bearcat Varsity and JV Volleyball tryouts will be held at Virginia High School on Monday, August 5th starting at 8am and Tuesday, August 6th at 3pm.

All BVPS students and families are invited to attend Open House on August 12th. All four of our schools will be open during this time and we welcome you to come visit from 1:00 - 7:00 PM.
